The longest of the three is the Arroyo course. Arroyo is Spanish for “Dry River,” and, true to its name, a natural desert wash runs throughout the Arroyo nine. The Dunes course is a forgiving desert-style layout lined with dense desert brush that gives new meaning to the expression “in the rough.” The Lakes course features dramatic holes, with a variety of water hazards that seem to get even more magnificent as you play your way through this challenging course. On a daily basis, two nines are linked together to build a different 18 hole experience.
 
For families that love to golf, the Gainey Ranch Golf Club at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale provides "Junior Tees." These special tee locations are designed to provide children 12 and under an opportunity to play a "yardage friendly" golf round, on a par 72 course specifically adapted to their strength and skill level. Additionally the course provides children's rental golf clubs to complete the family golf experience.
