The two courses at the Mauna Lani Resort are both true Hawaiian style courses.
They will test you with the challenges of the course and lull you with the beauty that
surrounds you on every hole. The South Course is home to the annual "Senior Skins
Game" that features the likes of Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The North Course is
home to many of Hawaii's most spectacular ocean view golf holes. Each of the courses are a
delight to play, they are unique in the style of the design and the variety of shots
required to play well.

Your challenge will be to test your skills on either of the resort's two
championship golf courses. Both the Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and
the King's Course, a Tom Weiskopf & Jay Morrish design, offer golf for all skill
levels. Set among the lava fields and adjacent to the ocean, the Waikoloa Courses are
among the very best in Hawaii. The courses wind their way around the resort and many holes
offer views of the Pacific Ocean and the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa in the

the Kona Surf Resort, the Alii Mountain Course is routed through rugged lava flows and

coastline and features the famous "Puka" Hole Geyser near one of the oceanfront

Waimea Country Club

Set in a beautiful valley between the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa
this excellent golf course is a Scottish links style course that plays its way through
beautiful eucalyptus groves and native brush. The course can be a tough test when the
trade winds blow. But the relaxing setting in this lovely ranchland will make for a
peaceful day of golfing enjoyment. The Ranch House Restaurant nearby is home to some of
the finest beef dinners you will have anywhere.
Makalei Hawaii Country Club

The setting for this exceptional full service country club is very
spectacular. The course is routed through the lava fields at elevations of 2,100 to 2,800
feet. This location provides unbelievable views of the island and the coastline below. The
added elevation make shot selections interesting and the courses design makes for an
enjoyable day of golf. The facilities and dining room are all first class, and you will be
treated as a member for the day. The greens are fast and require a delicate touch in order
to score well here.
Waikoloa Village Golf Club

This legendary masterpiece designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. is set on
the slopes of Mauna Kea overlooking the blue Pacific Ocean. Opening in 1972 as the
centerpiece of the Waikoloa Village Resort, the course is a true resort style course that
offers wide landing areas off the tee but requires a top level game to score well. The
greens are Bermuda grass and are always tough to read with the subtle breaks away from the
mountain. The clubhouse is home to an excellent restaurant and full service pro shop. The
practice facilities and learning center are all here for your game improvement needs.
Big Island Country Club

true Pete/Perry Dye course, Located at the 2500 foot elevation in the cool
mountain air above Kona. The course has Bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways
with spectacular water features. Five sets of tee boxes ranging from 4,600-7,200
yards give all caliber of players the proper challenge. The 17th hole island
green is their signature hole.
This course is at a higher elevation than typical Hawaiian courses. The
fairways are slightly rolling and play host to over 2,000 types of vegetation.
The medium-sized greens are undulating and moderate in speed. Two holes have
large trees in the middle of the fairway. The greens, as well as the fairways,
remain in excellent condition throughout the year. Water comes into play on nine
holes.
