Mauna Lani’s South Course is home to Hole #15, one of the most photographed over-the-water golf course holes in the world. The course snakes through the stark, rugged a'a lava of the prehistoric Kaniku lava flows. The challenging South Course offers golfers panoramic views of both rugged mountains as well as calming, beautiful ocean. Signature holes on the South Course that play beside the ocean are the 7th, 13th, 16th and of course the famous 15th.

Mauna Lani's North Course has fast become one of the most popular tournament venues on the Big Island and rated as one of the best golf experiences in all of Hawaii. Built on a lava bed, the North Course is characterized by rolling terrain punctuated by Kiawe forests. A 230-acre protected archaeological district lies on the northern boundary of the golf course. Another interesting feature would be that herds of feral goats also like to frequent the entire golf course, moving from hole to hole throughout the day.

William Bell designed Ocean Course was built in 1966, and maintains its charm by incorporating natural settings along the Pacific Ocean and gorgeous mountain views. Being so close to the ocean you may even get sprayed by the ocean mist on picturesque ocean signature holes. Enjoy seeing the grand splash on hole #13 where you will see the impressive blow hole known as “puka” in Hawaiian. This 18 hole championship course offers wide, lush fairways, Bermuda Grass greens and numerous sand bunkers.
